Steampunk Journal

Buenas.

Casi estamos a finales de Julio y se acaba el tiempo para presentar nuestros proyectos
en los retos de este mes. El proyecto de este mes de Gargamell Scrap consiste en alterar
una brocha o decorarla usando material de scrap o mixed media.

Llevaba tiempo queriendo hacerle algo a mi marido.
Y pensé: «le gusta escribir y lo suyo son el dieselpunk y el steampunk. Yo también soy fan
del steampunk y los junk journal me tienen atrapada... Listo. Le hago un diario a su medida
pero con anillas para que pueda ir sacando y reponiendo hojas». 

Claro que del dicho al hecho hay un trecho. 

Hi everyone!

We're almost at the end of July and the time is running out to present our projects 
in the different challenges that are still open. One of them is Gargamell Scrap's challange that involves altering a brush or decorating it using scrap suppliers or mixed media techniques. 
I had been wanting to do something to my husband. So I thought: "he likes to write and loves dieselpunk and steampunk styles. I love steampunk style too and junk journal are catch me... Ok. I'm going to make a diary for him, custom-made, with rings so he can go out 
and replenish leaves. However, this is easier said than done.

Los materiales que he usado son una brocha pequeña (sustraída del taller de mi marido),
un carpesano, la colección "Tattered Time" de DCWV, hojas de papel, las Distress -vinatge photo- y -aged mahogany-, diferentes pinturas y varios elementos metálicos para
la decoración, como las Vintage Trinkets - Roses de Prima Marketing.

I used a small brush (stolen from my husband's workshop), a ring binder, DCWV "Tattered Time" paper colection, Distress -vinatge photo- and -aged mahogany-, diferents paints and 
some metalic elements such as Prima Marketing Vintage Trinkets - Roses.

He usado un viejo porta nombre-dirección de cuero para hacerle un punto de libro
con el escudo de su familia; también he cortado y pintado una parejita de novios robots.     
I've used an old leather account holder address to make a bookmark with his family crest 
and also I cut and painted a married couple robots

Sólo voy a poner fotos de algunas páginas en blanco porque ya ha empezado a escribir.
He usado hojas de una libreta, las puse a remojo con te y luego envejecí los bordes;
a algunas les estampé un sello con la Distress para obtener una imagen difuminada.
I'm just going to put photos of some empty pages because my husband already started writing. 
I used sheets from a notebook and soaked them with tea, aged the edges and on some sheets 
I used a stamp with the Distress to obtain a blurred image.
