Hi everyone!
Today I'm gonna show you this altered helm to use it as a photo frame.
You can see a little tutorial here
I used Vitamin Sea C58T and Doodles Set 1 Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts chipboards, "Redondo" flowers from Prima Marketing and "Sea Time" papers and die cuts from Kora Projects
I'm so proud about the result :) My new summery altered project!

Bee Layout

agosto 07, 2019 8 Comments
Hello everyone!
Little time is left for summer's end and holidays... in other words: back to work!
Although there are some small creatures that still work right now: bees!
And, as the saying spanish goes: "By San Miguel (29th September), the beehive filled with honey"
The fall still is not here but I wanted to anticipate with this LO to pay tribute to our friendly bees.
Kora Projects has designed a new chipboards, one of my favorites is this beautiful bee, how beautifull looks with this photo by Marjan Smeijsters.
And these little flowers, pearls and micro beans...
I love living in the countryside but bugs gives me the heebie-jeebies, whole dilemma!
However bees have something special, maybe because I live in land of beehives.
Have a good summer end!

A different Frame

julio 26, 2019 4 Comments
Hello everyone!
Today is DIY's day!
I propose to do something different than usual with these wooden letters: its size gives for much!
(Tutorial en Español aquí)

You will need:
-2 alike letters. I'm going to use two M and two D to 30cm in height to make two frames
-glue
-cardboard
-supplies for cut, measure and write
-drill and 8mm tip
-mini hand drill and 3mm bur tip
 - sanding paper

Do not panic! Takes work but is very easy to do.
Let's start!

So first you need to draw two holes behind one of the two letters for can hang our frame on the wall,
in my case I'll draw the holes in one M and one D. The diametre of the holes need to be a little more big than the diameter of the nail head that we're going to use. I've made the marks to 6cm with a circle of 8mm in diameter and a straight line upwards of 5mm (1'3cm in total).

Avoid areas very close to edges or fragile structure parts when you are going to draw the holes.
I've used a support with a hole that matches the hole of my letter,
thus when I drilling there will be no obstacle to descend.
First make the circle...

... and make the straight line with the bur tip.

This takes some work and it's necessary to be careful. If you haven't practice go very slowly
or ask someone to help you. Once the line is made you can use the same tip to polish the edges
and then the sandpaper to fine-tune the details.
Make an structure with cardboard to superimpose the letters. I used the cardboard of the packaging. However, depending on what you are going to do, I recommend that you use something like balsa wood.

Do not forget to cover the holes after gluing letter in letter!

If you want to make a shelf you can make a board that goes from end to end.
And that's it!
For decor I used some photos, synthetic paint, flowers of the same colors, metal elements
and this gear set from Kora Projects.
The first thing I thought when I saw these letters was doing bookends. In the store you can find
two models: one of 10cm and this one of 30cm in height. I thought the big one will be perfect
because in my head those 30cm turned into 20cm. Don't ask how. When I saw the size of the letters was... well... The most ridiculous thing is that before ordering them I'd checked the measure with the meter!
So after a loooot of thinking I decided to make a different frame and this is the result.
Thanks to our DT Hilda who always encourages me to continue attempt to do mixed media projects.
And also the future owner of these two frames, which made me work with colors that it's not my cup of tea!
So I can only say: cheers! Do not despair when your project failure. Think and look for alternatives.
Go for it anyway!
Have a good summer!

LO "Beyond the Sea"

mayo 08, 2019 8 Comments
Hello everyone!
Today I gonna show you this LO that I've create using "Sea Time" collection.

When my mother was young she and her best friend took a walk on the beaches of Barcelona.
There're always many boats docked at the seaport
and they took some photos with these.
Many years have passed since then but thanks to the photos she can remember these days
and tell me about her trips and excursions.
So this was my turn to preserve her memories on this LO so summery!
So I decided to use "Nautical Chart" as a base paper for this LO.
I think that paper is in line with the theme of the photos.
I chose to decorate the background with a bubbles stencil, gesso and paintings.
I gave the last touches with this little stamp of stars and a mix of gel medium, beach sand and stars sequins.
And, of course, don't could miss a few sailor elements, including real little shells or this lovely flowers
by Freetany Flowers, 48 Little boy-2.
So this is the end.
This is the start of my summer projects I think!
See you!

Easter Set

abril 10, 2019 8 Comments
Hello everyone!
Spring finally came with its changing weather, flowers and its bugs.
Easter comes soon too so I've made these ATC with their matching little house.
I used kraft cardstock for the structure and "Million roses" paper to cover the walls and the roof.
All green and pink, and a little bit of guesso with a "brick" stencil and et voilà!
So cute!
I'm considering putting a base to the house or hanging it from somewhere along with these ATC.
I'm not a fan either of making them or exchanging them
so that's why I thought about making a hole and hanging them.
I painted these bunny chipboards in white and with this pink details they're very cute.
I've used some ephemera from "Princess Garden" collection, leaf branches and flowers for embellish them. Very pink and very spring.
Wonderful papers and chipboards!
So, another idea for you, if you're a ATC fans and you want to do a "easter-spring" series.
Thanks for coming round here!
